Powder coating consists of charging the surface and the dry powder with opposite electrical charges; this attracts the powder in a consistent film over the intended surface. In shop this is achieved by a combination of both manually and mechanically controlled spray guns, allowing us the adaptability to cover an array of products. As this approach doesn’t use a liquid carrier, it provides a far more consistent finish across horizontal and vertical surfaces as the powder cannot run or sag. Once covered the surface or product is cured under heat to finalise the finish and give it the tough, resistant finish that this service is known for.
